I'm gutted that my heyday of making music was mostly pre-internet. Done some odds and sods since, but have nothing to hand. Fully intend to grab a soundcard and a few other bits and pieces and put some tunes down. Some day. Its on the list of things to do.

yep, it was thanks mate.   Just recorded as live, in one take (apart from the harmony overdubs).

We started gigging under that name around 25 years ago. That cheeky scruff has had us served with cease and desist orders and all sorts over the years and we've always just told him to go and fuck himself. Our lunatic singer would gladly batter Jourgensen and has informed him of this several times.

Have had a bad time with this recently. LMMS (Linux Multimedia Studio) started crashing as I was trying to automate tracks, so I had to upgrade to a more recent version, and had a nightmare for a while sorting that out. When I eventually did it, instruments had been moved around and/or taken from the program, so the data files for a lot of my stuff is now screwed up and missing instruments (I can find most of/all of them on the net I think, it'll just take quite a lot of messing around.) Also upgraded the Hydrogen drumkit to find that my favourite drums had been removed.

 

Then I decided that I needed to get some actual guitar playing on my tracks, and that was kind of crazy to get sorted on linux to say the least, even though it's easy if you know what you're doing. Finally got it sorted though and there's at least quite a few new instruments to use on both LMMS/Hydrogen, plus I can actually add my own guitar now, even if that can take quite a while to record properly for tracks (especially when my lead is playing up, have just ordered a new connector.)

 

This is what I've been messing around with on and off for the last week or so. I'm not really happy with it at all, but that's maybe because I'm sick of editing/re-recording guitar parts (it's not full playing, it's recorded riffs that are looped.) and the tune in general at this point. Am hoping to eventually get better with the guitar again, but for now am probably going to just stick to some simpler electronic/techno and try to get back to writing more regularly.
