  1. Rich1878 Player Valuation: £40m Forum Supporter Today at 12:14 PM Add bookmark #80,465 Just went to get my bloods taken, and I put my car keys down on the side, I have an Everton keyring attached. Straight away the Nurse goes "ooooh Everton fan" haha yeh I replied. Straight away I took a dislike to her. "You aren't doing so well are you" i just shrugged my shoulders. Just as I was putting my hoodie back on, she goes " don't you think we are doing very well l, considering the age of the players" I replied oh you mean the squad you put out against Chelsea, who by the way had a younger squad put out? I think she went on to try and question me, from which I sharply replied with a yes, yes they were. Then as I was walking off, the smarmy little cow went to the other nurses "he's an Everton fan" I will point blank refuse her next time the horrible little witch

  3. Remember when Everton were paying Ancelotti £12m a year and giving him a £2.5m bonus for keeping them up?. He was the third highest paid manager in the league despite them never qualifying for Europe. No way would he have ever gone there if they had offered him the same amount that Brentford pay Thomas Frank or Wolves pay Gary O Neill. They've also paid his son a fortune for just putting a few cones out on a training pitch. They lashed £50m on Richy lar, £45m on Iwobi and £45m on Glyfi. They also paid Hamez £250k a week for less hours than someone on maternity leave. How are Burnley, Bournemouth, Leeds, Leicester, Brentford, Luton and Sheffield Utd supposed to compete with that?. How come Everton weren't arsed about corruption then?

  5. “tell you what though lad her surname was Olsen so I already knew before I got there she’d be one of them. Had the accent as well that jarg Jan Molby half Scouse half Norwegian wool one. She had a full kit on under her uniform as well and shinnies they really are a different breed lad she asked the best way to get home from the clinic I told her to get the bus direct to Kirkby Lonsdale haha that’ll teach her I came up with the idea when I clocked my trainees. Tell you what though lad you should have seen the nurses faces when my blood started going through the drip lad. Not blue that girls, it’s Royal Blue. I had 3 of them round the back. One of them told me Klopp had been in earlier that morning and started emptying all the blood bags down the sink in the disabled. Apparently he locked the door and stole the key and ran out the door singing about the playing football the Busby way as well. Make of that what you will”

  6. It's not spinning anything, it's factual information in the context of talking to people who understand how many games we play. Presenting a proportional analysis with no comparator data to provide perspective would be spin... After all there are numerous reasons why a player might not play. Not just injury, there are also players in form in the way. El Rojo's comment that I was disagreeing with was suggesting that Thiago only being available for five minutes of this season was predictable for the medical team. I said it's not, he's actually been available for much more than that over most of his time here (while also highlighting that his time has suffered because he has struggled to be consistently available). You haven't posted a single thing that contradicts that. And you can't. Because it's not "spin". Struggles with fitness or not, regardless of whether or not he was a wise signing, the idea that he's a wage thief happy to sit on the sidelines just doesn't ring true at all, for me. He's always been fighting to get back in, unlike others we've had in the past.

  7. Said it loads of times but right wing stuff can't thrive in a vacuum. The genius of the S*n is that it sandwiches political opinion for simpletons between football and tits. The mail does it between excerpts form Alan Titchmarsh's autobiography and money off vouchers for Spitfire-themed crockery. That's why white van man was the shock trooper of Thatcherism. Copy of the S*n on his dashboard and shit between his ears. If you just had a newspaper called "right wing shit", even right wing people wouldn't buy it, because nobody, unless they're nuts, enjoys being angry all the time. That's why the right wing versions of twitter never caught on. Right wingers take enjoyment from upsetting people, they know they can't upset each other so there's no juice in it. The right wing views espoused aren't genuine, they're not economic by and large and don't come from a place of genuinely held belief, it's just a catch all term now for being a cunt. GB news was just thick horrible school bully cunts like 30p Lee and Braverman trying to make money by peddling their barely understood patter to other thick horrible cunts. It's got a lifespan, and it's running out.

  8. To be honest I'm not bothered by the wages aspect. He's not a bad guy who's brought the club into disrepute and slagged anyone off, I just fail to understand how an athlete can be so frail. With sicknote players there must be a psychological aspect to it. I know Klopp used to insinuate that with Sturredge. That's the part I can't be doing with. Man up or fuck off.

  15. Fucking Purslow. Aston Villa might have to tighten their belts? Well, to be honest, they spent £99m net in 2020/21, £3m in 2021/22 (Grealish sale), £46m in 2022/23 and £80m in 2023/24. So they average around ~£60m net per season over a period where they've had virtually no European football to augment their revenue. If they don't have the income to support that kind of spending, why is it so awful that they don't get to keep going, mortgaging the future of the club by loaning against future income? They're not exactly operating on a shoestring, or have millions of club revenue sitting around uninvested. They've got a good squad and they're in rude health on the pitch at the moment. Maybe they can't sign big this year but do they need to? Bit of squad work to cover European football absolutely, but in effect they've done their major work already - hence the fact that they're right at the PSR limit but succeeding on the pitch, and they'll be able to up their spending consistently if the last 4 years' work yields Champions League football. If anything they're an advert for PSR working well - even more so as there's no way they'd be sitting nicely in 4th if Beheddie's boys were allowed to unleash the full force of the state wealth behind them. Instead they'd have all this debt from chasing the barcodes with no CL football to potentially pay for it, whilst the playthings of some despot rack up all sorts of debts with no consequence. Genuinely makes no sense to me why anyone within football (outside of the usual goons working for states) would think this is such an awful idea - although I suspect it's largely like Everton's board: you get to project all of your fanbase's frustrations onto a third party, which gets you off the hook. "Ooh we'd love to spend, love to spend, but those pesky administrators, eh?"

  17. It does. But as I said in the last post, I'm not certain there's a right answer to this. The real core of the problem is the obscene amounts of money. Sportsman not being fit to be sportsman is a fact in every sport. Paying players regardless of contribution is a fault of football for wanting to pretty much "own" a player for the contract length, in order to lock in a transfer fee. Another thing to remember, your reference originally is to compare to 26000 people using foodbanks. That's not thiago's fault. It's not Liverpool's faul. It's not football's fault. It's the fault of these Tory cunts and the cunts that voted them in. Our country is in a mess because these cunts siphon off billions to their mates every month. Because they used the pandemic as an opportunity to make money. Because they think the public purse is their own slush fund. It's disgusting 26000 people are using foodbanks. Thiago has nothing to do with it though.

  18. I wish we didn't sing either of them to be honest. Does us no favours and just provides ammunition for people to fire at us. Booing the anthem and singing fuck the tories is getting our views across, no need for the other stuff.

  19. Liverpool jeer the national anthem because its emblematic of the Establishment and class structure. I love it. It was the Establishment which shafted the fans through corruption and deceit. All overseen by the then Prime Minister, Maggie Thatcher. She had long established a culture whereby any attack on the working class, especially northern working class, was fair game - the recasting of the working class from salt of the earth to scum of the earth. And she openly despised Liverpool, the hotbed of anti-Tory sentiment, and resistance. When she died, it was natural that the people whose lives she ruined would have their voice heard. The days of silent obedience are well over, and the once-silenced ensured that the Wicked Witch is Dead song got to number one and it was fantastic. It was right. And when we play in Tory heartlands, and hear anti-Liverpool songs, it is understandable that Maggie's in a Box gets a defiant airing. The queen is most certainly part of the Establishment, and there is a clear correlation between Conservatism and support for the monarchy. But to be honest, I just don't go along with the Lizzie's in a Box chants. They are rich, and privileged, and I am totally against the idea of supporting a monarchical structure, but I just don't see the logic of celebrating her death. Thatcher literally destroyed people's lives. I don't think it reflects well on us. The Maggie one, however unpalatable some might find it, I will get behind and justify all day long. [awaits being called a Tory]

  20. I stumbled across a documentary on BBC iPlayer last night about the Mull of Kintyre Chinook crash in 1994, that wiped out virtually all of the senior NI security apparatus from MI5, RUC and the Army. Seasoned Special Forces pilots, one of whom was on the Bravo Two Zero operation in Iraq, apparently flying too fast and too low in fog. The pilots' gross negligence initially found to be the cause, but there were serious flaws in the Chinook HC2 variant and eventually by 2011 the original decision was overturned. It was implied that there has been a cover up of the proportions of Bloody Sunday and Hillsborough, and that the official records into the inquiry won't be released until 2094. Not massively relevant to the current situation over there, but recommended viewing for anyone interested in the history of the conflict. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m001vxy8/chinook-zulu-delta-576

Now it's a case of inflation went up by 4.9 percent so we are increasing it to that plus an addition 3.9 percent so your increase is now 8.8 percent. I hate the Conpany but they seem to have monopoly in decent broadband in the area, I hope their board of directors and share holders are eaten by fucking aliens.

  34. This is a real piece of spin. His appearance stats in his time with us are abysmal. He has barely played 40% of the minutes we have played in his time with us. Last season he started 14 of our 38 league games and played 1,256 of the 3,420 mins, 36.7%. Season before he started 17 of our 38 league games and played 1,537 of the 3,420 mins, 44.9% Season before he started 20 of our 38 league games - his only season where he scrapes past the 50% mark for starts....1,857 of the 3,420 mins, 54.3% Assuming he does not start another league game for us he will have started 51 of 152 league games for us in his 4 seasons here....33.5% He will have played 4,655 of 13,680 mins....34% I've focused solely on league here - the picture is pretty much the same if include all comps. It is an abysmal record.

  35. Well, he played in 28 games last season (four times the minutes of naby keita) and 30+ in the two before that. This season he's only been available once. This is the outlier, not the norm. And we're not the kind of club to just dump players when the going gets tough. Not even getting started on john saying Daniel Sturridge is one of the biggest financial wastes the club has ever had...neither were chronically unavailable, but their injuries (as with lallana for a time) made them relatively unreliable in terms of consistent selection and they've lost their places as a result.

  37. I think liberals are too tolerant by nature. Trump is a crook, bannon is a crook, their followers ransacked Congress and killed coppers, and here we are again. There are far more liberals than there are these shitstains, and as Truss and her ilk proved over here, they're thick as fuck to boot. Can't believe ordinary folk let these skidmarks push everyone around to the extent that they do. But then I suppose that's how a barely literate chicken farmer becomes head of the SS.

  44. But that isn’t the case. There are massive losses throughout the league. All FFP really is designed to do is limit the loss according to revenue. For financial health that isn’t the evil aim some make it out to be. The irony of the discussion about Villa and how they are being unfairly constrained by FFP is that they’d almost be certainly be worse off without it- without FFP Newcastle would’ve spent their almost infinite wealth and rocketed past them, likewise without FFP Chelsea or Man U who apparently are both on the limit would have no constraints. If it was just done according to actual owner wealth rather than revenue the likes of Villa would have no chance. Everyone wants everyone else constrained, and that’s why it got voted in. Yes, you can argue it locks in existing inequality…but you can also argue it prevents it from getting worse. Which is basically the argument that they can't get their heads around. They probably think the government will at some point let Usmanov do what he wants and spunk more of his money on them. But they are owned by someone who won't put any more money in and if sold they will be owned by some dodgy unambitious US chancers who never spend any of their own cash. At the moment they have no money so if ffp was abolished Chelsea, City, man Utd and Newcastle would just spend whatever they wanted. The only good thing for them is that FSG wouldn't bankroll any massive spending spree so at least we would be left behind which would make them happy. If FFP was abolished and Liverpool were taken over by an owner with unlimited funds their fans would want it reversed to stop Liverpool spending money. They only hate the rules now because Liverpool have been successful and they haven't while they have been in place. The Sly 6 is just Bitter Evertonian speak for Liverpool Football Club.
