I dont rate him myself pisses me off hes so frustrating to watch hes such a fast player but always brings play to a halt i dont know if that because he doesnt have a football brain or just isnt very skilled at a dribble from take off. My view on him is hes unable to do more than one thing at once.

Think it's a bit of a lack of confidence myself. Like I said he's looked really good against his own age but he hasn't shown it yet at first team, his lack of size doesn't help him though in terms of getting away from players just because he's easily pulled back and pushed off the ball.

 

I agree he does slow play down though and I really don't know why. Against Norwich when he was indecisive and ended up sort of scuffing his left foot shot, if he'd have burst through himself and had the conviction he'd have scored easily.

I have been critical of him. But would love to be proved wrong.

Makes a change some peoples minds are set in stone and would rather be proved right to save face!

 

He's a different player when he plays for wales, when I watch him he looks like he thrives on the responsibility because were shit most of the time, be interesting to see what he's like if Gerrard is injured, see if he can step up and take it on, like you said hopefully he can keep the form up.

Thats my point he doesnt strike me that when pressured to be able to run on to balls and shoot and pass acurately if he stops he can when hes only got one thing to do he does it well but if hes running hes quite poor letting the ball go.

Do you think that's a mental issue that he can overcome then or he's just not quite good enough?

That's not quite right mate. He is an intelligent player but due to him wanting to move us on when he gets the ball he will always turn to face the opposition, sometimes getting caught.

It happened today just the once but he didn't hide. He never does.

Im going of what i see its something he can learn ofcourse but hell need to go to a bit lower for that he needs a loan to the Championship

Allen showed Lucas how that role was meant to be played today. He goes forward with the ball, passing and running. He is much quicker to press than lucas as well.

 

Lucas was at fault for they're goal for being too fucking slow as usual. In fact at 2-1 he gave a blatent foul on the edge of our area, again for being too slow in the tackle and just wiping nolan out.

 

Lucas should be worried, and about fucking time as well
