First Game of the Season

Just had a flick through a few FF pages and couldn't find a thread so here thought I'd start one.

 

With the fixtures announced on Friday, who are we going to be playing?

 

We had a turn up for the books last season being at home but I'm going to bet we'll be away again this season.

 

Even though I saw Jim Boardman say on Twitter earlier in the week we're rumoured to be at Stoke first day, due to a dream I had on Monday, I'm going to go with Blackburn away.

I think we will end up away at Swansea. I can see the papers already with their shite headlines saying how great it will be for them. All the usual bollocks will be there how it will be a tricky trip for us, how it will define our season.

We're not lucky enough either to have a 100 mile round trip when we can do 350 ish.

 

Couldn't give a fuck though, the redmen will be ready and we will beat anybody we play first game.

Nice to have the first game at home, but more important to have the last game at home, especially if we need a result then.

 

If we have first and last game away, and blueballs/mancs/Chelsea home first (pre-Christmas) that's my idea of the fixture list from hell.

Yeah Starts on August 13th. Charity sheild is the week before. Man city against Man Utd should be a cracking game. Here's hoping for a high intensity game with a couple of injuries and red cards to disrupt the start of their seasons.

 

Normally the first weekend is saturated with matches over the two days. 12pm 3pm and 5pm kicks offs on saturday. 1.30 and 4pm kick offs on the Sunday.
