If I was a football manager of a club with ownership issues and was having a rough year - i'd get my agent to put out feelers so I could keep doing what I want to be doing. So if his agent wasn't having the odd conversation and talking his man up I'd be more suprised. Same for the players, although sometimes its done by the agents "without" their clients knowledge. happened all the time in the manageress!
