Thanks. Good to see Sony, as well as Microsoft, finally realising that releasing on PC doesn't cannibalise sales.

Since the ps5 xbox series are closer to pc builds than ever before I'd imagine the port work is easier and more profitable as a result. I'm sure Sony purchased a company that specialises in game ports. It may have been bluepoint games.

Nixxes I think, they were very solid with their Squaresoft ports.

First one is easily the worst. 3 is alright.

First one is a bang average game that I didn't want to complete. Second is a masterpiece. Third is enjoyable. The fourth I got stuck on a level as I had to choose a weapon to use and it was totally inappropriate and was impossible to use in the circumstances. I think I couldn't go back either so it felt like a broken game.

Maybe I need to try it again.

Death's Door is boss as well. I got both for dirt cheap on the Epic sale. 5 or 6 euro each.

Death's Door is on Game Pass for anyone that doesn't have it.

I tried to get into Death's Door, but kind of bounced off it in the first section. It seemed a bit sparse and dull and the controls weren't great- I take it it gets better? Does it also have a decent story line?

Completed dark souls 3 yesterday. Brilliant, but definitely went cheap on the last few bosses. Used a couple of story summons, thematically satisfying but, as ever, once you beat these bosses, you can see better how it's done and kind of wish I'd done it alone.

9/10

I haven't finished it yet. I like it though.

I finished Uncharted 2 and moved on to The Last of Us. Really good, proper spooky atmosphere and feels a bit like old school Resi. It’s a bit repetitive with the fighting compared to Uncharted, not really had any set pieces or anything but it’s really good.

Even if you end up bouncing off LoU, I'd say give the sequel a try. I never finished the original, but that second one is a masterpiece.

I’m defo finishing LoU and will also definitely play the sequel.

Not sure whether that will be straight away though as I have a few downloaded and ready to go.

Once LoU is done I have;

Uncharted (3, 4 and Lost Legacy)

Battlefield 1

Arkham Knight

Days Gone

Read Dead Redemption 2

Hitman 3

What should I go for next?

The Last of Us Part II is a grind (in a good way).

Played it when it first came out and, despite the backlash, really enjoyed it, I want to play it again but can't bring myself to go through it again.

Maybe part of that is that it came out in the middle of the first lockdown and maybe I'd have a different experience with it now but at the time it felt relentlessly grim.

The first one feels like that to me so can’t imagine what the sequel will be like!

Once it gets its hooks in, it's amazing. Probably the best example of world building I've ever seen. So many great stories hidden away in the landscape, waiting to be discovered.

Then you fuck one up, die. Go back there and... it's gone... you fucked it.

Actually a great way to up the stakes on EVERYTHING else in the world. Brilliant.
