Early goal. The rest has been slow and fairly poor. We're not under any major pressure but our final ball has been weak and on a few occasoins a decent pass could have seen a good chance and possibly a goal. These are here for the taking. Maybe Babel should come on early enough. Certainly the conditions are not helping.

That's not really been a good half of football from us. We've just done what we had to really after the early goal.

Dosena has been good. Keane's just doing the easy thing and not taking any chances, Riera has been poor since the first 5 or 10 minutes and Masch and Xabi need to tighten up the passing in the midfield.

They've been no threat what so ever like, but we should be going for another goal or two to kill it off because all it takes is one slip/misplaced pass on this pitch and it's 2 points dropped.

Very impressed with how we have dealth with this half. Completely snuffed Spurs out in the first quarter, not just the goal, but the amount of work we put in to deny them anything and then making intelligent use of the ball in posessin too. Riera has been excellent, save for one moment when a pass would have been the better option than running into his marker.

Been impressed with Dossena too, although that might be just relative to his performances a little while back.

Agger, Mascherano and Keane not had great 45s, but we've been easily in control. Expecting them to push on more in the second half, so should be plenty of space for Babel to exploit so would think we'll be seeing him on for Keane after 10-15mins.

I've seen him get the ball 9 out of 10 times in those situation. His timing is usually superb.

Really? I think you're being generous with the percentages there...

I was talking more about getting a needless booking in the last two minutes of the half by diving in on a centre-half clearing the ball from by the touchline halfway inside their own half.

In these conditions, all he's got to do is mistime one more tackle (and be honest, he has been known to mistime the odd tackle...) and he's off.

As I said, pointless.

I think Riera's been excellent. Other than a silly moment when he should have played the ball, he's kept posession and used the ball really well. He's not seen as much of the ball in the last 20, but I think that's partly because they have tried to close him down a little quicker.

I agree. I'm just saying, I think he was a 100% certain he would get to it 1st.
