Say Malcom X to most people and i think this is the image that they come up with. I think it brilliantly captures the force of the man: the clenched fist behing the pointing to a definite direction being a nice image in my eyes.

 

I think he's just about to say "Fuck! over there! there's a gun pointing at me!"

I didnt know that about Kevin Carter, and that picture is seriously fucked up. Its no wonder it all got to him.

 

As for the X-factor gimps, I didnt know they were brother and sister I thought it went a bit deeper than that!

 

There's a brilliant book about the packs of photojournalists covering apartheid and African politics called The Bang-Bang Club. Kevin Carter is prominent in the storytelling. Well worth a read:
