oops! Pissed of the Schalke fans now.

Leon Goretzka was told in no uncertain terms how Schalke fans felt about his move to Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga star has agreed to join the champions in the summer but had to turn out in front of the Schalke faithful on Sunday night.

The club's fans made their feelings clear, unfurling a giant banner which told Goretzka exactly where to go...

Schalke fans tell Leon Goretzka to 'p*** off' with a giant banner before Sunday's match

The banner read: 'Neither money nor trophies are worth more than our club, the one who does not appreciate that can p*** off immediately.'

The message was delivered as the players were warming up ahead of their match against Hannover on Sunday.

Incredibly, the midfielder started the game amid the hostile environment but was hauled off after little over an hour as his side played out a 1-1 draw.

The club's faithful unfurled the message as Goretzka started the game against Hannover

The 22-year-old was touted for a potential move to the Premier League before agreeing to a switch to Bayern on a free transfer in the summer.

It is not only the club's fans who have been angered by his decision, with sporting director Christian Heidel saying: 'We done everything we can to keep Leon.

'In the summer there was an agreement with him and his advisor. He still wanted time to wait for his development.'

It appears Goretzka is in for a rocky end to the season with Schalke still aiming for a Champions League spot.

Bayern have properly fucked over all the other German clubs, especially in the last couple of decades. It doesn't help that every young German player sees Bayern as the end game even when they play for and support other clubs.

Until recently, I didn't know that the German league's rules for players in the last 6 months of their contract was different to that over here. In England, a player in that situation cannot speak to another English club about a Bosman pre-contract, but he can speak to any clubs outside England. In Germany, there are no such restrictions. I suspect a large part of that is down to German clubs preferring to plan ahead and get deals done early whereas in England, everything leans towards pissing about in the media and creating a saga out of the situation.
