Cant get my head round the No campaign here. He is a boss keeper and far better than anything we have. Magicrat nailed it there, we can't rely on Mignolet and Karius is still in nappies. We need an established solid keeper and Hart fits that bill. Or Begovic. neither clubs will want to do business with us in january the way we are playing but fuck sake open them bleary eyes and eat a scram.

Karius would have been slaughtered for the Stoke goal.

Would Loris or De Gea have been slaughtered?

The problem in football, as with life in general, is that the slate is never clean when making a judgement about someone.

Have we ever had a goalkeeper who was his country's undisputed No1? Out of all the keepers' names I can recall, I reckon only Elisha Scott and Bruce Grobbelaar come under that category. Everybody else seemed to be fighting it out for the national team position, with only sporadic spells as the top dog, or else they were definitely 2nd or 3rd choice.

Clemence was. Shilton didnt play as much as people believe during Clem's hayday. You can't use England selection as a true judge of a GKs ability as the best in the country.
