Local journalist on Sky News is saying that the bombing and hostage taking situations might not be true or, at least, are still to be officially confirmed. He's stated that there does appear to be more than one attacker/cunt though.

CONFIRMED at the moment:

*08:00 pm: several shots fired, beginning at Seitenstettengasse 

*several suspects armed with rifles

*six different shooting locations

* one deceaced person, several injured (1 officer included)

*1 suspect shot and killed by police officers #0211w

Katya Adler is tweeting that it could still be an ongoing situation, so they might be right. 

 

As with all similar incidents, you have to preface all claims with a disclaimer that they might not be entirely accurate.

The attacker was apparently jailed in 2019 for wanting to go to Syria and join ISIS. Not the brightest or best informed member of his cell.
