I don't think Lucas can be the first choice DM in our side i feel he must be given freedom or shared responsibility in attack to his midfield partner, remember Lucas against the mancs 2-0 he was fucking incredible fucking everywhere, don't think ive seen a better midfield peformance in years.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Hodgson improves him as that's one of his main strengths. However, the saying "you can't polish a turd" may be apposite here.

I think that a manager who believes he has the players to get a win will go for the win. Hodgson fits that description. So maybe there is a place for Lucas in an attacking sense rather than the shit position he was accomodated in since he has been here.

 

My worry is that if Kuyt went we would end up with Andy Johnson.
