I have noticed a lot of people on here saying that because we have dropped a number of points to lesser teams that we cant win the league. There reasoning behind this seems to be than man utd have a much easier fixtures from now till the end of the season.

remaining fixtures:

liverpool home:

arsenal

city

chelsea

bolton

everton

blackburn

newcastle

villa

sunderland

spurs

Liverpool away:

hull

stoke

boro

wigan

west brom

west ham

fulham

pompey

newcastle

On paper anyway, we've got our tougher games at home, which should suit us. The order of the games is crucial, in May there is the distinct possibility that none of the teams we face will have anything to play for, while at the same time United play Arsenal and City.

Win at Old Trafford and I think we will win it

Off course we have identical fixtures, we are halfway through the season.

WHo says we cant, what I dont understand is why people focus on the mancs, Chelsea are clearly the better team.

I don't think they are. Chelsea are not playing great and there is clearly inner turmoil at the club so all is not well there.

I still think that if anyone finishes above the Mancs, they'll win the title.

That's not why I think they're favourites. I think they're favourites because they have a proven track record and I believe when it really matters and gets to the point in the season where one slip up will probably cost you the title, they will find a way to win, we will probably not. It's true they've had a lot of tough away games, but so have we and with the exception of probably the mancs themselves (which is by no means insignificant), I think the fixtures are pretty even with both clubs. I don't think things will be quite so easy for chelsea - they have to travel to all of their main rivals, as well as spurs and villa, so I think things will prove to be tougher for them on the road, although of course that may aid their home form.

People seems to think all kinds of strange things.

Chelsea have been missing three of their best players almost all season, they have only got 2 points from the 3 matches against us, Arsenal and the mancs but still they are only 1 point behind us.

I keep reading about Chelsea`s problems still they have scored most goals and conceded less.

Their away from is incredible and they totally dominated the game against the bitters last night, the bitters almost did not get past the halfway line before Terry was sent off.

Those who "think" (read hope) Chelsea will implode will be in for a huge disappointment, they are clearly the team to beat.

The majority of our remaining home games are against top 10 teams!!

We need to come out the starting blocks straight form the first whistle and play with the kind of intesity that we did when we played juventus in the champions league quarters in 05 or when we beat everton in the derby of that year, if we manage to score in the first half of some of these games without conceding then maybe the jitters around Anfield will go away.

Chelsea got two points in these fixtures at home and still they are second only 1 point behind us.

Why does it really matter that they will need to travel to those fixtures, can it go much worse for them than it did at home?

Personally I think they will go back home with more than 2 points in the bag from these 3 games and if they get 0 they will still be the team to beat as they crush the dross more often than the rest.
