Rate the last film you watched...

Last one I watched was Around the world in 80 days. I wouldn't usually have watched it but I came in from the Umbro Tournament on Saturday and was so knackered I just collapsed on the couch and didn't have the energy to change the channel from what Film 4 was offering me.

 

To be fair it wasn't that bad at all. Coogan gives a decent performance in what is probably a really good film for families and kids. Jackie Chan still moves well for an old dude too.

In The Valley of Elah - Decent original movie, Tommy Lee Jones is great. 7.5/10

 

No Country for Old Men - First part of the film is fantastic but it loses it's way for me in the last half. Still v good though. 7.99/10.

The Watcher. 7/10. Improved my opinion of Keanue Reeves greatly.

Excellent performance by Ryan Gosling, though the friendship with a 13 year old student is a bit lame.

I watched In Bruges this morning and totally agree.

 

A couple of good funny moments in it though.

I watched the latest Rambo film the other night - I'm not sure how to rate it as I found it quite disturbing, strangley watchable yet crap!!

 

I liked it, but then I liked all the other Rambo films so it wasn't a surprise.

 

The last few films I watched

 

Unbreakable - 6.5/10 - It wasn't the best film I've seen but I liked the twist in it.

Hancock - 7/10 - I quite liked it and found it pretty funny to be honest.

Hitch - 6/10 - It wasn't great but watchable anyway.

Man On Wire - 9/10 Beautifully crafted documentary on the stuntartist who walked across the twin towers on a wire. Quite brilliant.

It's BBC co-produced so look out for it when its on the tellybox if you can't get to watch it on the big screen.

A bit of a rarity this, a 70s film based on the true story of Yorkshire serial killer Donald Neilson; who's still serving life. A real docudrama feel and lacking in tension - so 2/5.

Starship Troopers 3 - 8/10 this isn't for everybody but as a big fan of the first I really liked this proper sequel (2 was shite).

Very good indeed .The only problem is when you have such high standard of police dramas such The Shiled it is difficult to make this type of film stand out .However I really did enjoy it so it gets 8/10

Very funny stoner/action movie. If you like Knocked up or Superbad you should like it, if you smoked or have smoked weed on a regular basis then you will enjoy it on another level also but even if you don't it's still very funny.

I heard an interview with Seth Rogan going on about how he really smokes a lot of weed in real life and he wrote the movie so you know he knows the funny little things that happen with weed. I was going to get high before seeing it because he said people should but I couldn't get any, it would of been funnier if I was stoned but even though I wasn't I still loved it as did most in the theatre judging by the laughs. There was definitely a few stoned people in the theatre.

Watched Best in show a few nights ago, the newish comedy from Christopher Guest, of Spinal tap fame. It was very good. Not really a film where you're laughing out loud all the time but more where you're just grinning at the observations and the characters.
