I feel, no data, that despite all the usual bollocks the general mood seems to be in favour of the RMT rail strikes. It may be because a lot more people are feeling the pinch and realise if their lotbisvto improve then they need this to be a win.

Hopefully it is a shift change in the usual bosses good, unions lazy lefties who hate everything.

Or maybe just wishful thinking

I’m not sure I trust the resilience of much of the population to back this for the long run.

For many that will be genuinely down to the fact that their circumstances don’t allow it. There’ll be a segment though, who just don’t have the patience and/or mindset to stick with this much beyond these initial walkouts.

If change is to happen, the long game will need to be played. Most people will have any intention to do that pecked away by the various Tory mouthpieces.

It doesn’t help that selfishness seems to be an ever increasing British behaviour.

Personally, I’d like to see a summer of discontent but it would be very selfish of me to actively promote that to those who’s circumstances are more challenging than mine.

Translation... Billionaire does not want to pay staff better wages so blames something else.

The days of rich employers thinking they can get away with paying the lowest 20% of the workforce peanuts are over.

The angriest people are usually the ones who haven’t been on a train in years. Just one bellwhiff I’ve seen on Twitter today.

Id defy anyone to go onto the comments section of the BBC news site reporting of the story, and not want to punch the screen within 30 seconds

The 1st dozen or so comments blame Labour or corbyn or suggest anyone who goes on strike should be in breach of contract and be sacked.

On a completely un related note the BBC has for days run the story and how of affects commuters I've seen very little from the people who it affects the most.

Apparently not. And Harriet doesn't drive and won't stump up for an Uber, either.

Although in fairness Harriet has taken in half of Ukraine, for some strange reason they are all staying in her kitchen.
