Swansea should have stuck with Gary Monk. He started very well, then went through a bad patch and they sacked him. It's a tricky situation that you have to be carful with, but I think some young managers could come out better for the experience if they are backed when the chips are down. I think Monk would have been one of those.

Instead they twisted, and now they look to be in a cycle of having a succession of short term managers with none better than what they already had.

Fan sitting in the middle of the centre circle during the Coventry v Sheffield United match. Coventry have been protesting about their cunt owner for quite a while.

The ground is about a quarter full, feels like a game between two sides towards the bottom of Serie A, when only ultras turn up. Been ten minutes of non stop whistling and songs about the owner.

Julian Nagelsmann is one heck of a young manager, isn't he? He'll prove better than his mentor Tuchel in my opinion. Took Hoffenheim out of the relegation zone last season and is still undefeated this season. And he's only 29.

They kind of put Hagelsmann in charge a lot earlier than they wanted to and it was a major gamble. He took them from second last in the table to safety after Stevens left due to Heart problems, he hasn't looked back since. It is refreshing to see a young man doing well after being backed by the club in the first place. Age really is just a number, if you are tacitly good enough and can get players who are in some cases older than you to listen then you should get the chance.

Dortmund equalise as I type at the start of the second half.

Dembele is some player.

They'll be hoping his injury that forced him off is nothing serious, although it is the winter break after their next game.
