Ryan Kent has joined Coventry on loan until January.

Offal

Liverpool FC can confirm that Ryan Kent has completed a youth loan move to Coventry City.

The winger, who was included in the squad for the first team's pre-season tour of Thailand, Australia and Malaysia over the summer, has joined the League One club until January.

Kent was a regular for Michael Beale's U21s in 2014-15, and provided one of the highlights of the season with a fantastic long-range brace against Everton at Goodison Park.

He will now look to make the step up to senior level with the Sky Blues, who are flying high in second place in the English third tier with six games played this term.

Danny Ward & Ryan McLaughlin - Aberdeen 2 Celtic 1

Danny again started in goal for The Dons, who maintained their 100% start to their league campaign with a hard fought victory over champions, Celtic.

Ryan was an unused sub as The Dons played the last 20 minutes with 10 men following a straight red card shown to Johnny Hayes. Paul Quinn grabbed a dramatic winner with just minutes to go.

Despite their advantage, Celtic never really tested Danny too much, and he had little chance with the Leigh Griffiths penalty that gave Celtic a first half lead, though he did go the right way.

So one win in 8 games, and one out of eight teams managed more than one goal. Based on those figures every single one of them are well on track to making it to our first team.

It's a strange one to loan him to Villa because he's going to be 4th choice behind Richards, Lescott and Clark

It would be stranger if the decision to loan out one of our players to a particular club wasn't strange. We just roll the dice and pick a club blindfolded like someone playing pin the tail on the donkey, pretty much the entire strategy at LFC really.

Lazar Markovic - Kasimpasa 0 Fenerbahce 1

Started on the bench and replaced van Persie in the 62nd minute, as Fenerbahce retained top spot in the Super Lig.

Mario Balotelli - Inter 1 Milan 0

Another to start on the bench and come on in the 62nd minute. Had a couple of free kicks that went close, but Inter held on to win the first derby of the Serie A season and keep up their 100% start to their league campaign.

Luis Alberto - Rayo Vallecano 1 Deportvo La Coruna 3

Started for the away side, and promptly created the first goal of the game in just the 7th minute. Just over 20 minutes later, things would get better for Luis, as he bagged his first competitive goal for Depor to put them back in front, only a minute after being pegged back by the hosts.

Depor would go on to score a third in the second half, just before Alberto was replaced in the 64th minute to end a good evening's work for the young Spaniard.

Andre Wisdom - Liverpool 1 Norwich 1

Ineligible for the game due to the terms of the loan deal.

Tiago Ilori - Aston Villa 0 West Brom 1

Not in the match day squad for Villa.

Sergi Canos - Brentford 2 Preston 1

Came off the bench in the 61st minute and was immediately involved the game. Setting up the home side's equaliser just a minute after his introduction, and then picking up a booking 5 minutes later.

Sheyi Ojo - Wolves 0 Brighton 0

Started for the home side and was replaced in the 68th minute, as top of the table Brighton visited Molineux. The away side missed a first half penalty, and former Red Conor Coady was shown a straight red for the home side earl in the second half.

Played the full 90 for Blackpool as the home side earned their first home point of the season. Booked in the 15th minute.

Played the full 90 and turned in a man of the match performance for the Sky Blues. Had a late goal incorrectly ruled out.

Harry was once again an unused sub for the Railwaymen, as they won their first league game of this campaign.

Lawrence Vigouroux & Jordan Williams - Swindon 0 Burton Albion 1

Both played the full 90 minutes as Jimmy Floyd Hasslebaink's table topping Burton continued their good start to the season. Consecutive defeats now for Swindon.

Another 90 minutes on the bench for Joe.

Ryan McLaughlin & Danny Ward - Hearts 1 Aberdeen 3

Danny played the full 90 for top of the table Aberdeen, who have now won their opening 8 league games of the campaign. Ryan came off the bench in stoppage time as the visitors looked to run down the clock. Nothing Danny could do about the home side's goal.

Luis Alberto - Deportivo 2 Gijon 3

A first full 90 for Luis, as he scored for a second game, grabbing the equaliser for the home side in the 28th minute. Gijon would take the lead again just 6 minutes later and would hold on for the 3 points.

Mario Balotelli - AC Milan 3 Palermo 2

Started on the bench for Milan and was brought on in the 70th minute, as the Rossoneri bounced back from last week's derby defeat.

Lazar Markovic - Fenerbahce 2 Bursaspor 1

Markovic started his first league game for Fenerbahce and was credited with the assist for the opening goal of the game, score by Nani. Picked up a booking in the second half half, and was replaced by van Persie in the 77th minute, who then scored the winning goal just 2 minutes after coming on.

Allan Rodrigues de Souza - KTP 1 SJK 3

The young Brazilian started for his Finnish club, but was replaced after just 8 minutes due to injury.

Taiwo Awoniyi - Duisburg 0 FSV Frankfurt 1

Not in the match day squad for the away side.

No games this weekend in the Swiss leagues, so nothing to report for Samed Yesil at FC Luzern.

Are Aberdeen capable of a proper title challenge or are they likely to fade away once injuries and suspensions start to take their toll?

It's a great start for them and the SPL would benefit massively from another challenger - especially with Rangers most likely being back in the division next year. I've no idea whether this is just a purple patch for Aberdeen as I pay so little interest due to the league having being a one, and before that two, horse race.

They pushed Celtic for a decent period last season, and are certainly stronger this season than they were last, so I'd expect the challenge to last a while longer this season, though Celtic will still win the title.

As Aberdeen are my team up the road, I try and watch every game that makes it on to the tellybox.
