Yes I often browse through an atlas , there was a programme on a while back about the early days of map making to the OS and how they surveyed and mapped things out, it must of been painstaking and taken ages.Very good it was,on Bbc4 I think.

Not really maps but there was a series on BBC Scotland recently called Scotland from the Sky & they were looking at how things had changed over the years in the cities & rurally from the air, it was magic. Just found out there's a book available so I'll be getting turfed out of Waterstones next week for smashing one off in the corner to it.

I don't think so, I would've loved that programme when I was a kid & I've always liked looking at maps too. This thread is brilliant.
