do you think Aldo can last 5 rounds against the energiser bunny Edgar?

 

im hoping not.

 

If Aldo does enough damage early on,I think he can go 5. He near enough maimed Faber in the WEC inside 3 rounds then just saw out the last two. His cardio is questionable, as we saw against Homenick, but by then it was too late for Homenick. He'd already been battered by then. I can see Aldo taking the first three then Edgar chasing the finish and winning the last couple of rounds, but maybe being too beaten up by then to actually get the job done.

 

Edgar is pretty much my favourite fighter, but I think Aldo is a tough ask.

I hear you. Since edgars eventual win over the shrunk down 170lber in Maynard, I then became a huge fan. I also think he won both fights with boring Benson Henderson. So for that, I really want him to beat as aldo.

 

It really is a massive task though

Did you see him in the WEC ?,if not check out his fights with Cerrone.

 

I enjoy watching Henderson fight too, and I was quite torn as to who I wanted to win when he first fought Edgar. But the dubious nature of the rematch win and his insistence on bringing up religion at every opportunity has turned me off of him a bit as a person. He has the same smug air about him that people accuse Jon Jones of.

 

It's probably a different conversation, but as Chael Sonnen said, i'd be a bit disappointed if God was spending time worrying about the outcome of an MMA fight.

So much for watching.

 

Started getting tired at 11.30 and decided to get a couple if hours and give the first part if the prelims a miss.Turned the alarm off and fell back asleep got up for the Overeem/Silva fight.

 

Good fight to wake up to, that really put the cat amongst the pigeons
