Good thing about Sturridge, and what enables him to score so many and consecutively, is that he scores different types of goals. He scores the types of goals a player like the young Owen would score, and goals in the box like Fowler might, but also the goals a more cultured player does. So it's goals from through balls using his pace, goals using his movement, but also chips and long range. Some player.

He is a striker and they tend to be selfish anyway. My only gripe with him is he does not pass to Suarez when he clearly is in a better position than him.

Has happened more than one this season.

Yeah he's easily injured too. Needs to take a cement pill, the pussy.

Yep, his range of goals is as good as it gets.

Must be a slightly odd situation for him though, in that his own brilliance will probably always be slightly overshadowed by playing alongside the best footballer in the world.

Does any stat head know how many assists himself and Luis have for each other? Most likely as impressive a stat as their scoring totals.

I also don't see how Suarez and Sturridge will play together

Welbeck is better than Sturridge

This was a particularly enjoyable quote from Alistair:

Liverpool's transfer policy is absolutely hilarious at times. Did they really look across Europe and decide that Sturridge was the best value they could find at £12m? They never seem to learn that this is precisely why they find themselves in 9th.

Another laugh. They didnt just start one thread saying how shit Sturridge is, they started two.

I like to read this remembering that fergursons last transfer was blowing 15-17 million quid on Zaha, for me it makes this thread just a little bit sweeter,
