I get what you're saying mate but really disagree.

Because we may outscore a shite Aussie side doesn't make a poor England batting performance any better.

I desperately don't want to see it but I reckon a few batsman need a defeat to give them a kick up the arse.

Or, we're shite but perhaps some of England's top order are on the wane.

Am I right in saying these top order failures have been going on for longer than just these two Tests?

In our slight defence, England might be getting out to bad shots, but on the whole our bowling has been excellent so far this series IMO and perhaps it is contributing to England's poor shot selection.

Well, how much can I cram into the next hour.....because bugger all will be happening after that. And for once I'm not the least bit put out that I need to wait in for a couple of deliveries this morning (no pun intended)

We should be 350-4 at the absolute minimum. Instead we have proceeded to throw away a catalogue of wickets. Trott, Bairstow, Prior have all let themselves down and more importantly, England down very badly.

We are going to be lucky to get 320 unless the tail wags again.

I agree, Dan, but at least Trott and Bairstow actually put a few runs on the board before getting out. KP needs to have a long hard look at himself, as does Prior. Even Cook hasn't covered himself in glory so far, batting wise.

If anyone deserves a bit of slack it's Cook.

He's one I have no concerns about.
