A strange season for the Dutchman which began with him being played out of position in midfield. That didn’t go particularly well but that’s not really his fault. I’m doing this rating based on the numbers he’s produced rather than how I’ve felt watching him. I don’t think he had a good season and there were times when he was inexplicably bad, whether it’s horribly missing chances, continually just running into full backs or breaking down our attacks with sloppy passes. Well that was better, I suppose. It didn’t feel that way at full time, but on reflection this was mostly good up until both teams made substitutions and the game turned on its head. Probably the least dramatic final day I can remember. Maybe that’s why all eyes were on Anfield for Klopp’s farewell?
