Far be it from me to stick up for Silverlining*, but it's hardly fair, this 'where will we finish' poll was taken 12th May 2011, when we were flying with the 2nd best record in the league (since Kenny took over), hadn't spent the money yet (so assumed it would be spent wisely), and were generally positive at the prospects of the new owners + Kenny + money.

*And I'm obviously not saying all this because I also said '3rd'. Nope. No way.

Yeah, I know this. And have pointed it out. My delirious optimism vanished in the space of two months to be replaced by crushing pessimism. But evenm I didn't think it would be this bad.

Apart from Henderson. I knew he'd be shit.

"Initially the blueprint was for a younger manager. You want to have long-term stability in as much as the staff as possible".

Fair enough, a younger manager than Kenny (61) doesn't mean a 'young manager' though.

I hate that we made them change their blueprint just because we got all giddy.

This being the case, I wonder how much of this you can really lay at FSGs door? What else did they set out to do but were talked into changing?

"Nah Tom, you want to buy British mate, forget those lightweight cunts like Falcao and Neymar, they wouldnt last 5 minutes here".

I had doubts about appointing Kenny. But there is no doubt about the job he has done in the short term. In retrospect, no-one could have unified the club the way he did. I do not believe that any manager would have done a better job.

The pre-appointment concerns are now surfacing in the medium term.I was baffled as to why FSG offered Kenny a thre year contract. A one year rolling contract would have been the best answer, but reflects their inexperience.

Last summer was the chance for Kenny to "do a Hidiink", ship steadied, the roar of an appreciative crowd in his ears. Equally it was a chance for FSG to stamp their mark on the project, by making a fresh appointment for a fresh era. But as with the CEO they started with José Ángel Sánchez, and ended up with Ayre, equally an extended contract for Kenny was the easy, and popular, option.

As it is, he had an excellent first half sason behind, this second could still go down in the history nooks with an historic double, and who knows what the transfer window and an injury free next season could pan out?

I blame absolutely everything on Ayre. EVERYTHING.

What the merry fucking cunting hell are you on about?

"Do a Hiddink"?

What does that even mean?

HOW IS IT IN ANY WAY FUCKING RELEVANT TO KENNY DALGLISH AND LIVERPOOL?

Moores and Parry had no hand in making Hodgson manager of LFC.

Yeah, but does that really mean we shouldn't blame them anyway? Get your torches and your pitchforks, people, we're going in.

I blame Clive Thomas.

Oh wait, sorry- wrong forum.

To be fair, I'm harbouring a little resentment towards Clive Anderson.
