Afternoon all,

Recently, I'm having a problem with Windows defender on Vista ( I know, I know..it's shit...cant afford Windows 7 just now ). I keep getting security messages

Windows Security Centre says that Windows Defender is turned off but it wont on when i try to turn it on ( no new definitions available ). Its also saying that there is no Anti virus software installed ( Avast is installed )

Am I liable to have a virus, should I reinstall the OS?

Any help gratefully accepted and appreciated

Cheers

LiS
