Robbie Keane and Fernando Torres will lead the line for Liverpool as Rafael Benitez names an unchanged side for tonight's Champions League qualifier away to Standard Liege.

The Reds boss has opted to field the same XI that defeated Lazio 1-0 at Anfield on Friday which means Xabi Alonso retains his place at the heart of the midfield while Steven Gerrard is on the bench.

The Liverpool team in full: Reina, Arbeloa, Dossena, Carragher, Agger, Alonso, Plessis, Benayoun, Kuyt, Keane, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Hyypia, Gerrard, Voronin, Insua, El Zhar, Pennant.

surprised at the bench myself, but i reckon it's cause they have more first team experience than the others. hopefully the youngsters (spearing, nemeth and ngog) will be on the bench as the season unfolds.

Decent line up, but we really need better quality on the flanks. Kuyt and Benayoun are good squad players but we need better.

agree with this. if we are to seriously threaten the best teams the wingers should be better. preferably babel and "someone else"...

A Jew, a Dane and a Irishman walk into a Belgian bar.

Jew: I'll have what he's having. (Points at al daas)

Dane: Me too, and make it fast as I've got an appointment at the tat palour.

Irishman: (already pissed) I'll have the 'standard' around here.

Barkeep: (points to al daas) The 'we'll get snotted special' then?

Jew: But how much is it? I only brought 3 euros.

Cartman: He's hiding more, he's got jewgold.

Irishman (Keane): Give me a double.

Barkeep: Drink at your 'leigeure'.

Exactly what I was saying earlier. Any money we have needs to be spent strengthening those areas.

Every time I have tried to pick a team from our squad this season, I always struggle with the wide players unless I pick Gerrard on the right, where I would play him most of the time to be honest, when it comes to the left, its more like picking one just to get 11 in the team.
