Just catching the tail end of this show now, so I'm not really sure of what they've covered so far, but if I were compiling the list my top 10 would be as follows.

The Big Lebowski

Wayne's World

Dumb & Dumber

Clerks

Life

Old School

Full Metal Jacket (The funniest non-comedy of all time)

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

O Brother Where Art Thou

Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence get framed for a murder and sentenced to Life in prison. It's a hugely underrated movie... and I personal favourite of mine and our esteemed leader Mr Usher. Many a night we returned from a night on the sauce to watch this movie. Good times.

I'll check it out.

Right, subject to change:

Bad Santa

Anchorman

Blues Brothers

Sean of the Dead

Clerks

The Hudsucker Proxy

The Man with Two Brains

Spinal Tap

Wayne's World

Lost in Translation

The Ladykillers (original version)

Life of Brian

Only Fools and Horses (To Hull and Back) - brilliant from start to finish

Carry On Don't Lose Your Head

Kind Hearts and Coronets

The Pink Panther

A Shot in the Dark

Arsenic and Old Lace

Some Like it Hot

Blazing Saddles

Not my definitive top 10 but 10 of the best. These modern Yankee comedies tend to be shit. Including everything Jim Carey has done. Very bloody irritating.

There's no way that Dodgeball should be in the top 10 comedies of all time. There are at least 3 Vince Vaughn movies alone that are more deserving. Old School, Swingers and Wedding Crashers

Swingers a comedy? I'm not sure how I'd define it, but it wouldn't be as a comedy - even though it's funny (if that makes sense).

I am going to use this thread as the basis of my viewing in the next few weeks. there are plenty on here that I haven't seen. I think my list would smell something like this:

This is Spinal Tap

Life of Brian

Sleeper

Anchorman

Withnail and I

The Big Lebowski

The Jerk

Radio Days

Braindead

I have just realised what an amazingly poor memory I have.

Definitely a guilty pleasure. Waterboy, Big Daddy and Happy Gilmore are all hilarious. Billy Maddison was funny too, Little Nicky was ok. The one's he's done lately such as Anger Management (the end of the road for him that one), The Longest Yard and Mr Deeds weren't up to much.

Punch Drunk Love, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson is an absolute gem though.

Agreed. Me and Mrs Paul sat there watching it on Sky one night, both thinking, "What the fuck? This is weird and shit." She gave up and went to bed and I gave it five more minutes - time enough to become completely hooked. There's a great little love story hidden amongst all the weirdness.
