New Draft Ideas

Kempes often played off a target man.

Think is nobody will have seen that much from him. Spanish football wasn't on TV, and Argentina national games less so. Most people have seen the odd big European or World Cups from any non English player pre early 90s when Serie A starting getting a airing

I always thought of Kempes as I did Keegan. Both excellent finishers who done most of the defensive pressing for their strike partner, who was usually a bigger target man.

In my opinion, modern(ish) comps would be to ***** and *****.

*Will say after the draft.

Thanks for the info. Think I'll just play him as an attacking midfielder then. Don't want a target man.

To those who saw him, what kind of forward was Kempes? From what I've read, in the 78 World Cup he was deployed deeper, not as a centre forward. Could he play alone up front?

Have a read of this.
