Weird, I thought Klopp wouldn't stand for the owners getting in his way?

How do you know he is not having it out with them behind the scenes? If they don't want to spend in this current window he is hardly going to broadcast that himself, plus we don#t know what plans then may have promised for the summer window or maybe even pulling off a surprise this window.

I don't. Just like you don't know if it's actually Klopp that doesn't want to spend.

Costa dropped by Chelsea after his head was turned with a £30m a year wage offer from China.

Just saw this on SSN.

Would help us a lot if he did a Payet.

that's brilliant if true.

I never said that though, I used the wording "I doubt....." Whereas you used the wording "I thought...." Therefore I'm negging you, for yet again being a thick cunt.

Liverpool are willing to pay £35million for Atalanata midfielder Franck Kessie (Corriere Dello Sport)

Liverpool target Gabriel Barbosa wants assurances from Inter Milan that he will be given more playing time (Corriere della Sera)

I'd be happy if we bought Kessie. He looks like he's got the lot. Still young but if he keeps going he will be world class in no time.

I'd be happier with Barbosa on loan, with a view to buy, as he may or may not be all that and it could go either way for me.

Edit: while I'm here, glad to see the fuss with Costa and China. He's no spring chicken and won't be able to earn forever. Go to a China while you can mate! Failing that, he can go to war with Chelsea, sulk in the stands, and China can move onto their next target...

Step forward Daniel Sturridge.

I doubt very much he believes that, he is not that naive. He is just towing the line and saying things what the owners have obviously briefed him on.

“The difference between you and me is that I have to think about the whole situation in general,” Klopp said.

“If now we had three players more, if these players were here a few weeks ago when everyone was performing and fit, this player could not have helped us in the situation.

“The right player for us – if he’s available and if the club he plays for wants to sell him, that’s pretty difficult at this moment because who wants to sell high quality players? All the other players we don’t need, that’s how it is.

“You don’t buy a player for one or two games; that makes no sense. We have to go through this now. Of course it is not too cool that Sadio is not here.

“You can imagine and believe, we always think about how we can strengthen the squad. There’s absolutely no issue from the owners side. They do not think: winter, (players cost) too much money. We only think about the right players. Not any player.”

I imagine the owners told him to say all of that? Wonder who's the FSG speech writer.

It's simple. He doesn't want to buy because he can't get his targets. It's on him.

So you're saying Klopp's lieing to the fans and is FSG's stooge?

So its not as simple as you claim?

You sound 'confused.'

In other news....

Chelsea striker Diego Costa's future has been thrown into doubt after a furious row with Antonio Conte over his fitness.

The Spain forward has not travelled with the Premier League leaders for Saturday night's match against champions Leicester. And the clash with manager Conte could now see him leave Stamford Bridge.

Costa, 28, believes he is suffering from a lower back problem, which could be linked to his history of hamstring injuries.

He wanted to rest this week but Chelsea expected him to train as part of Conte's strict fitness regime.

This sparked a series of blazing arguments, as exclusively revealed by MailOnline, with Conte backing his medical team and leaving Costa flabbergasted.

Sportsmail understands representatives of Costa are in China. Oscar and John Mikel Obi have already quit Chelsea for mega-money deals there in recent weeks.

The disagreement has led to a rift between Costa, Conte and the Chelsea physios. The striker does not agree with their methods and has pointed to his impressive record this season, when he has scored 14 league goals.

Chelsea had planned to offer Costa a new contract but that is now in significant doubt, although the forward is prone to such fallings-out and the club hope the matter can be resolved.

Chelsea medical staff have been cautious with Costa, taking extra precautions this season to ensure his hamstring issues do not flare up.

Costa has responded by being Chelsea's most influential player, but the issue could now wreck the club's push for the title.

And Sky Italia reported on Friday that Conte had shouted at Costa, 'Go to China', during their heated exchange. As news broke of the row, Costa uploaded a picture of him scoring against Tottenham on Instagram, with the caption: 'Come on Chelsea!!!'

Conte remains unconvinced by Costa's £33m understudy Michy Batshuayi and is in the market for a striker this month, with Swansea's Fernando Llorente a target.

The issue with Costa could see him step up his search.

Liverpool legend and Sky pundit Graeme Souness insisted that Chelsea must find a solution to get Costa back onside, or risk throwing away the title.

He said: 'You have to sit down with him and you have to find common ground. You cannot have him sit there and not play for the rest of the season. West Ham are talking about that with Dimitri Payet but I don't think Chelsea can afford to do that.

'If I was Conte I would be saying, "We've got to resolve this, we've got to get him back playing like he has been for the previous six months".

'They'd be losing their biggest threat. He gets them goals — that's the hardest thing in football. He's a warrior and he makes people play. He is the biggest loss Chelsea could have . . . they cannot afford that.

'I would imagine that the owner (Roman Abramovich) will be up for a fight. He'll be saying to Costa, "You're staying here, you're going nowhere".'

How's he lying to the fans? He's just spelt it out exactly how it is. He doesn't want players to come in and cover mane while he's away for 4 weeks. If he's signing someone he wants them for a long time and they can play regularly.

I don't agree with his strategy. Our squad needs improvement and it'd be nice to take mane off in a game and replace him with pace or when mane gets injured or suspended or goes to afcon. He doesn't always have to play instead of Mane either. They can be on the pitch at the same time. If we get that player in the squad for a year or 2 we have Mane's replacement ready to take over when he inevitably fucks off.

Ask 3 stacks. He;s the one seemingly saying Klopps lieing.

As I said earlier, towing the line as he probably doesn't have the budget required for bringing in the players he wants. You can put whatever spin on it you like, I bet you believe everything so long as it suits your love in with the owners. Plus you are a grade A prick to boot.

Errr no, I'm actually saying the exact opposite, jimbo .

You may be financially literate but you're illiterate in every other sense.

Haha. As unoriginal as ever.

It was clever trying to cover your tracks but your literacy let you down.

I imagine the owners told him to say all of that? Wonder who's the FSG speech writer.

It's simple. He doesn't want to buy because he can't get his targets. It's on him.

So, you suggest the owner told him to say that thereby insinuating he's not telling the truth in the article. Then you confuse yourself by saying 'it's on him.'

So no need for an FSG speechwriter and no need to imagine the owners told him to say owt.

In fairness to 3 Stacks I think you've read that wrong, Jimmy. In the first paragraph he's mildly sarcastically asking others if they think the owners have written it for Klopp. In the second paragraph he clearly insinuates that he thinks it's Klopps own decision.
