Yes, when faced with bricks and bottles a bullet proof vest is the best protection.

Not tooling up in riot gear and arresting protestors for obstructing the highway, tends not to provoke reactions and escalate matters from a non-violent protest to missiles and then gas rounds.

Woah there trigger, don't ascribe the daft arrests to me. That's just not fair, a misrepresentation, perhaps. You'd know about them.

No idea what you're on about there, but as I have an early start I bid you goodnight.

Cincinnati protest has been peaceful so far. I'm leaving it as a guy I was talking to has hooked me up with Paul McCartney tickets for tonight due to finding out I was from Liverpool. His wife works on the Box office and she's got me a return after he gave me her mobile number. Slightly bizarre turn of events but pretty happy about it

Ok then Den, here's a scenario for you;

- You are brilliant at protecting the Queen and her property

- Some of your colleagues are cunts and whilst protecting the Queen and her property hurt and kill people

- Some of your colleagues at other palaces are attacked

- Threats are widespread that the palace you protect could be attacked and those protecting it attacked too

Would you turn up to protect the palace you keep so safe?

Would you want to wear all the protective gear available?

Do you think your credibility as an revolutionary is undermined by protecting palaces?

Really depends.

America is a fascist state, albeit with no 1 man in power but a committee of cunts. So maybe a communism (committee etc) / fascism hybrid.

It is fascinating how their culture revolves around 'might is right'. Most TV shows and certainly cop shows usually culminate in a shootout with the bad guy getting his head blown off.

Small #blacklivesmatter protest in Liverpool yesterday. Saw them marching down bold street with signs, chants etc.

Best let them know that Giuliani has said the Black Lives Matter movement is "inherently racist" mate.

They need to stand down and preferably apologise.

every single male orientated film coming out from there has a dude with a big fuck off gun unsubtly plastered all over buses in it's advertising what with the success of Taken and all that. you've got right on types like Sean Penn doing these sort of revenge films because it's where the bucks and roles seem to be these days. they are all at it.

isn't it about Asian funding too, where even the Bond films are containing more gun violence in them than before, because that market is essential to tun a profit and is what is proven to be a successful model of investment?

it's got to sink in to the pysche of the unhinged somehow, where it's virtually portrayed as a sort of gun porn and how you 'get things done'. add that to the unlimited supply of firearms and it's an unhealthy mix.

there has always been films like Dirty Harry back in the day, but somehow these later breed of films have a more extreme, detatched cold feel for me. at least Tackleberry never actually shot anybody either

My pictures were perfectly representative of it, you melt.

And yes, I'd be perfectly happy to send out the majority of officers dressed normally to a demonstration, and withhold any riot units at distance unless it turned ugly. I wouldn't want to put a paramilitary force up against civilians holding peaceful demonstrations.

Except that it wasn't proven to be just a demonstration. There was the potential for more police shootings from snipers.
