I've said before I'd have cashed in on Agger but who the fuck is Alan Tate? http://www.thesundaytimes.co.uk/sto/sport/football/Premiership/article1184675.ece Duncan Castles "SOMETIMES the deals that fail to go through are the ones that make you wonder. In the summer, as Liverpool tried to navigate a fractious transfer window with their newly poached recruitment specialists on gardening leave, a decision was made to cash in on Daniel Agger should Manchester City push a bid close to £30m. With Brendan Rodgers eager to demonstrate his credentials as a transfer-market operator and reinvest the income on other positions, Liverpool's new manager sanctioned the potential sale and assured his new employers he had a replacement lined up. For about a fifth of the Agger asking price, he would take Alan Tate from Swansea. Ultimately City balked at the money demanded of them and Tate stayed put. At least for a while. Michael Laudrup hardly played the defender and by November he had been lent to Championship also-rans Leeds United. Quite a conflict in valuations."

Wasn't he rumoured to want Ashley Williams and Leon Britain as well.

Alan

Sorry! Just shows how much of a no-mark cunt he is. Why do I call him a cunt you ask? See below.

Plus he is 30. Hardly FSG criteria.

Even if he was a 22 year old stalwart with international pedigree, I'd never want a twat like this at a club...

@ceriboots180 I'm not going anywhere mate. Man United is my club, could never play for Liverpool.

And here is a great display of knowledge:

KopiteNo1 ‏@Kopite_No_1

@alantate @ceriboots180 Explains why you said 2nd biggest club in the country. 42 trophies to 39 says otherwise #lfc

Alan Tate ‏@alantate

@Kopiteno1 @ceriboots180 One has nearly 80,000 every week, one has just over 40,000.

KopiteNo1 ‏@Kopite_No_1

@alantate @ceriboots180 bigger stadium means bigger club? Er no.

Alan Tate ‏@alantate

@Kopiteno1 only a bindipper thinks Liverpool are a bigger club than United.

Here he is being a mong:

Alan Tate ‏@alantate

@meganphelps - I'm a pro footballer in the UK. I think you have great jugs. Would you like to date sometime?

Five in, three out.

In:

Sturridge - 12M

Walcott - 10M (low price due to contract)

Diame - 3.5M (release clause)

Ince - 5M (finishes season at Blackpool)

Butland - 5M (finishes season at Brum)

Out:

Carroll - 15M (Ba to France; Pardew under pressure so brings back a local lad)

Downing - 6M (Stoke - they spend money, they want crosses to Jones/Crouch)

Cole - free to QPR/West Ham and we do not pay wages

Some muscle is added to the midfield and most importantly, the front three is overhauled with two goalscoring additions to dovetail with Suarez.

It is the happy thread.

So happy that we're getting FIFA to change it's policy on players playing for no more than 2 clubs in a season - Carroll?

Is this Sneijder link meant to show us fans that FSG finally mean business? I mean they're clearly willing to match his alleged £200,000 a week wages if they've really put a bid in for him? And of course Wesley must be dead keen to come to Anfield and play in the Europa League for the next couple of seasons if he's lucky? I'm far too cynical for my own good sometimes.

Ex Soton skipper Lundekvam is cited in Norwegian media today that Walcott will stay at Arsenal, and that it's purely a money issue (why he's not signed yet). He's apparantly talked to Theo (he served as some sort of mentor to him while at Soton, and they talk regularly) recently. Lundekvam talks a lot of shit though, so he could be making it up:-)
