Was looking at Villa's line-up before the game - 'Jesus wept' - we think we have downgraded over the past 3 years. Didn't even recognise 4 of the names.

I remember thinking that when we played them at Anfield last season. There were at least six or seven players in that team that I'd never heard of and another one who came off the bench.

 

I was thinking they'd go down but I changed my mind when they appointed Lambert because he seems to have a bit about him as a manager. Wish I'd stuck a sly tenner on them now 'cos the way it's shaping up, they'll be there or thereabouts about the bottom.

 

3-0 now. Jelavic. Fucking hell.

It just goes to show how quickly decline can happen... it's what 3 years? They were battling with City and Everton for 6th back then.

 

For all the managerial efforts, if the quality isn't there in the pitch, the manager's on a hiding to nothing.

 

It's early days of course, but once negativity sets in (and it has at Villa) things often go from bad to worse. We've been victims of it ourselves.

I'm watching the Fulham game. They are a poor side, giving the ball away every time they get it. If it werent for Dembele I think they'd be relegation fodder. I like the look of Kagawa for them, I think he'll be a good signing for them, he's busy, good movement.

 

They scored too early, got all excited but sat back and then United do what they do, the step up a gear, and by the time you try and regain composure the they're at least 1 goal up and the crowd are behind them...

 

It's extremely rare that teams come back from 3-1 at OT.
