he's young player learning his trade, he has big potential, but is far from the finished article. I feel for him as he has nothing to do with the price, but sadly that price tag will always be mentioned as we are talking about money for world class player....and he's not one.

Carroll is a problem more than a solution at present. We need to find a way to play to his strengths but he also has to work on his game to adjust more to a faster passing game.

 

Unlike Chelsea we can't afford to have such an expensive sub, especially when his alternative isn't really performing either.

FWIW i thought that Dalglish got it wrong today he should have started with Carroll and Suarez he had 1 impact player in Bellemy on the bench we did everything right today Stoke didnt have chances infront of Goal it should never have been a pen if anything it was a foul on carra we failed to convert our chances not down to Carroll again

Even if his best years are ahead of him, the reality is he just didn't fit with the way we're trying to play football. He'd be great for Stoke, when they can fire long balls up to him all day, but our "pass-and-move" philosophy leaves him redundant upfront, and the game passes him by. I think he probably will be sold, it's just a question of when, and what price.
