Seriously, Smalling is much much better than Jones. Really hope we miss out and the mancs end up spending £20m on him. He's looks comfortable bringing the ball out of defence but that's it. Really nothing to get excited about his defensive skills. Smalling is gonna be a big player for the mancs though.

A lot of it is subtle stuff, like receiving the ball back to goal in a tight situation, but still coming away from it with the ball at his feet and the ball still in the oppositions half of the pitch. He done that constantly. Compare that to England, where in the same situations they were thumping the ball back to their cb's and keeper.
