Shaqiri and Martinez were being a bit snidey with eachother in the first half, don't think Shaqiri has managed to get it out of his system. A few Swiss seem to be getting wound up now anyway.

Hah, Montoya's pass there was almost identical to the one Thiago made for the 1st goal, bizarre. If the Swiss didn't defend that it would've probably been another for Adrian.

 

Shaqiri keeps falling on his arse all the time and getting wound up, reminds me of T*rres having a strop.

 

Wow, Thiago with a goal from about 35+ yards with a freekick. Caught the keeper off his line. Game over, surely.

Almost frightening how good they are for an U21 side. Respect to the manager too, was unsure of him at times, but he's got things working well enough for them to win it. Well done to them.

 

And sorry, didn't realise it was actually Didac that set the first goal up.

Weird that more people weren't commenting here when this was on. A while back I'd have not been bothered about U21 football, but the maturity of that Spain team was surprising to say the least, they play some great football. The scary bit arrives when you think about what several of those players will be like playing for the senior team in the years to come. That's if you're ever supporting a team playing against them anyway.

 

And I think we're seriously fortunate to have Borrell managing our reserve side, we might be seeing some truly great players in the years to come.
