He's done more for this club than you will ever do, so what exactly is your point?

 

My point is billybonzo is the worst sort of poster - bitter, chippy, graceless, and prefers to wilfully hammer away on the same insignificant grievance without being to acknowledge the greater good or the bigger picture. He fits precisely the sort of lazy negative stereotype that we as scousers are often saddled with and should rail against, and it's tedious.

Sorry mate I couldn't care less what happened with him and Rafa and it isn't important anymore and never really was. Not important enough to have senior members of SOS having a go at him in front of a few thousand people anyway.

So our traditions as a club stand for nothing now?

 

Peter Robinson et al would have run the guy out of town, he wouldn't have gotten across the threshold.

Purslow sacked a manager and allegedly told the fans we had money to spend when we didn't. But he stood up to the cancers when it really counted and along with the other two might just have saved the club from the abyss.

 

Can you not celebrate this day or is it all still about Rafa?

Tradition of idle gossip without foundation you mean. Once there is 100% foundation to every rumour about Purslow then fair enough. Now THAT was selective revisionist rubbish.

Purslow, Broughton and Ayre. Broughton especially have played a blinder in the past few months. We can be left in no doubt what side of the sword they fell upon.

 

Purslow has been a victim IMO of a smear campaign of those still pissed off about Rafa. From the bullshit stories about a mural being torn down. As well as a dodgy SOS Meeting. His job couldn't have been easy, for some bizarre reason people held the fact that Hicks didn't take up the Rhone offer, against Purslow, yet had he sealed the deal, he would have given the Yanks more time.

 

He's made mistakes, he's made unpopular decisions. But I can be left in no doubt that we have a much better CEO in him than we ever did in Parry.

 

Broughton is nothing short of a legend. I loved how his message yesterday was 'Keep the faith'
