Emerging Computer Peripherals

Recommended Posts

I have been asked to write about "Emerging computer peripherals". Peripheral is anything attached to the computer just e.g. a mouse

So basically anything that came out in 2009 or is coming out this year?

I have a few in my head, such as these gaming mice everyone is talking about and a few others but does anyone know of anything else really cool coming out?

Cheers.

How is that? ESata has been around quite a while and has not made a difference afaik.

Could you elaborate?

Sorry, should have said the new and improved eSata. The transfer speeds were increased last year, up to 6Gbit/s I believe. USB3 is rumoured to be between 4.8Gbit/s and 8Gbit/s, it changes from site to site as far as I can see.

There's a lot of debate as to which method is quicker. The proof will be in the eating....

Though PC Pro have performed benchmark testing and USB3 easily sees off eSata.

These will make the transferring and storing of HD and future 3D media much easier, and the storage capacity for portable devices will increase substantially as a result.
