2-0 villa

Poor from Brighton losing the ball.

Matter Cash is turning into one of the best RB in the league. Really good player. Brighton unsurprisingly not looking the same with the midfield gutted and playing twice a week. Really like Emery, hard done by at Arsenal imo

Brighton seem quite susceptible to a counter attacking team. Villa have stung them on the counter for the second goal. Moyes had West Ham sit off them and hit them for 3 on the counter.

Brighton play some good stuff in the advanced area of the pitch. But, some of their “possession football” is for possessions sake. Consisting of the goalie standing over the ball as he’s been instructed not to kick it long, then he’ll give it to a centre back who will look for a pass, won’t have one and will play it short to his centre back partner or back to the keeper. And then repeat.

It’s a bit dull to be fair.

Villa have them worked out. Let them have it at the back for pointless possession and then win it back quickly as soon as it goes into midfield.

Was always going to be a tough season for them. Had the engine room gutted. Only spent 100 of the 190ml they made and bought a kid amd Milner to replace Caicedo and Mac Callister. Add in the additional games, they've come into the season needing more players. Just shows why these teams will rarely break into the top 6 regularly

That should have been ruled out. Luiz might fall into the Brighton player but it's caused the break

Just catching up with this. Ref’s having a mare. Gives Brighton two free kicks for those flop-to-the-ground, grab the ball non-fouls but doesn’t give the foul that leads to the goal.
