When you care more about the point than the principle you lose authority.

I'm not sure what your point is to be honest, I'm wary of Israel and as Serbia are doing a deal which recognises Jerusalem as the capital I've got my suspicions on what's involved, I cant see the Palestinians welcoming it, can you?

As the baltic countries may join the eu I'd be a little apprehensive about that also, but their you go.

To summarise.

1.  Israel is committing atrocities.

2.  A non-EU Balkan (not Baltic) state is following the US line on Jerusalem.

3.  ??????

4.  This is the EU's fault.

It all follows logically.

Wrong. I didnt say it was the "eu fault" angry. I said I'm wary of the proposal for Balkan countries like Serbia and Kosova joining the eu when they are making deals with an oppressive state which as you point out is committing appalling atrocities against a defenceless country.  My position is clear.

Hahahaha. I didn't realise you'd dragged up this old chestnut yet again.

The story there is "Man expresses opinion upon which nobody acts."  It's a spectacularly pointless non-story. I bet even Kinnock and Warsi have forgotten all about it.

Meanwhile, instead of Gnasher's bizarre linking of non-EU countries deciding where to put their embassies to the EU, Ineos, owned by Brexit-backing Jim Ratcliffe, are moving production of their vehicle to France from Wales.

Winning.

Well as you seemed upset about "remote unelected politicians" a little further up the thread I thought I'd remind you of the beautiful world of eu democracy.

Nice sidestep away from Balken states sucking up to Israel but as you mentioned a few of our old mates

As Warsi and Kinnock may have forgotten it I'll remind you, Warsi stood twice before the British electrate and got humiliated both times, the last losing the Tory seat of Dewsbury, didnt prevent her taking a string of top jobs in which she was way out of her depth.

Kinnock became an mp in a seat that Mickey Mouse would have won if the labour party had put him in as candidate, of course against Thatcher he got hammered when Mickey would have probably beaten the slag, he then managed to win the miners strike for Thatcher by being a spineless bag of wind. He then scurried off to make a fortune talking sprouts in Brussels.

That both Kinnock and Warsi have the pomposity to even consider talking about high profile European posts tells a sorry tale of life at the top of the eu food chain.

Did you just accuse me of sidestepping an issue of two non-EU states on the EU thread?

(PS - Serbia does not represent all Balkan states. We had enough of that thinking in the Nineties, thanks.)

Also... I didn't bring up Kinnock and Warsi (no mates of mine, btw) - it was you. It's always you. Nobody else gives a fuck about this ancient non-story, but you are obsessed.

For what it's worth, EU Commissioners are nominated by (elected) governments of Member States and are then subject to scrutiny by both the President of the European Commission and the (elected) European Parliament.

The opinions of a former Commissioner like Kinnock count for as much as the opinions of any pub bore.

Let's not forget how great UK democracy is. A thoroughly amoral and incompetent, racist, sexist, homophobic, compulsive liar and blowhard with no empathy and complete contempt for working people has absolute power - literally the power of life and death - over 65 million people, because he won a safe Tory seat in Oxfordshire and about 160,000 votes (if I remember correctly) in the party leadership election.

I think the part which proves your post is a load of bollocks is the word "Commissioner" when speaking of a cunt like Kinnock.

How the fuck he ever gained a position of prevalence sort of tells it's own story. Sadly his opinions carried a great deal more weight than the pub bore and that was the problem.

My post is not "bollocks"; it is nothing but objective facts.

This isn't the first time you've got the two confused.

Of course, leaving the EU (who do not recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital) means that the UK's future trade relations will rely more heavily on the USA (who do).

Bet you cant wait angry, thank god they're not socialists like them naughty greeks

Yes you're right it's a fact Kinnock was eu commissioner, that's what makes your comment about his opinion having as little relevance as the pub bore a load of bollocks.

Is that Johnson you're talking about?

I certainly agree with the sentiment but he's the MP for Uxbridge which is the western suburbs of that there London. He was the MP for Henley but resigned to do the London mayor shit
