  4. I’ve avoided this thread until I could gif this a reasoned response, but fundamentally my answer remains the same - nothing that fucks with a child’s hormones should be legal until they are considered to be personally responsible, which we agree currently (and in the countries from which we are considering this) to be 16. As soon as we move from data to anecdote - which is after all the human response - we can build argu,Mets for pretty much anything. what should be the response to the parent who’s child is objectively intellectually advanced, the polymath who can enter Oxbridge at 14, who says they approve their child having sex at 14 as they are fully competent and cognisant of what they are undertaking? laws should be to protect, and there could as easily be a kid who is swayed by their parents into majorly disruptive, life decisions within the sphere of gender, that they may otherwise regret with age, the law should be there to protect them. the whole gender debate is very much a pandora’s Box, in that science has now enabled gender transformation, that previously was not possible and as such it becomes an option. Kids may feel that having to ride out puberty in the “wrong gender” to be a cruel imposition, but it will also mean that as and when they get to make the choice of gender reassignment, we as a society can be sure that they are doing it from a vantage point of at least understanding the adult that they wish to leave behind. Ie a child can be daily say I will not be a woman I will be a man, with no understanding of what it is to be a woman, once they have reached adulthood then they will understand what it is they’re choosing to leave behind. i’be spent 12 months on estradiol (an oestrogen suppressor) and will be on testosterone medication for life (due to biopsies) s speak with some experience when I say, fucking with hormones can have such a drastic impact on a person’s life, no matter how much it may seem a solution, if it is for mental rather than physical symptoms, it should b avoided until the person is abov the age of consent. also as someone who will be on medications for life, since the age of 30 (due to my kidneys), getting a young kid in such a life is not a good move for society, no matter how it may seem in the individuals circumstances.

  7. So, three weeks ago, we were 1 down at Burnley, potentially going 5 points behind city and they had a 16 goal lead in goal difference. We're now 7 points clear of the oil cheats and have the same GD. Fucking magic.

  9. It is great for the public here at Liverpool to see us. They must have been wondering what this team everyone is talking about are all about and now they've seen. We were wonderful.

  17. This is the payoff for Klopp being uncharacteristically lenient shipping players out the last few seasons. He clearly learned from Dortmund that it's worth waiting for your men. Van Dijk and Alisson have transformed this team into a crushing machine. Witnessing a genius and brilliant human at work. All shall love him or despair.

  18. Stream I was watching at the closing few minutes Anfield was bouncing crowd was bouncing 4-0 up. At the whistle cuts to Wembley for final few minutes Spurs 5-0 up 1/2 the crowd had gone home not a sound out of the rest of them.

  23. Some serious anti-peaism from Seasons. I think he must have been abused by a pea salesman as a kid. Was doing all the cooking yesterday and only managed one snap, three-bird roast is the main meat so I expect to be eating it for the next week. Looking forward to leftovers this afternoon after a certain event at 3pm.

  24. Me and my bird and going to Berlin in a couple of weeks, so I got euros from my parents equivalent to a meal at a posh restaurant I’ve reserved for us, and a few more from my sister. my missus has got me a blinding present, a night in Edinburgh to go on an evening photography class. That’ll be ace. but the best present was the smile on my little girl’s face all day after her mum dropped her off, and the fun we all had. christmas is a million times better now that her happiness is at the centre of it.

  26. All done. Feeling, sad, proud, touched and chuffed, all in equal measure with today. Met some great people who, sadly for them, have been dealt a shit hand by life and one refugee lad from Afghanistan, who was so thankful, it almost brought a tear to this swinging brick of a blokes, eye. The lads been here just over a month and no one will talk to him where his bedsit is, as he's 'foreign'. Gave the kid a lift home and he told me that this is the most conversation he's had in the entire month he's been here and how he enjoyed the music, the food but most of all, the company. Me and Mrs Butty have both agreed we will be doing this again next year. Photies of the small hall we helped set up and my trifle taking pride of place on the dessert table. It went down a treat, so chuffed with that, even more so as the Afghan lad had never had trifle before and he loved it. The most fulfilling and rewarding Christmases Ive ever had. Now to cook mine.

  27. It continues to bemuse me how Joshua is so disliked on here whilst Fury is so liked. I accept that Joshua is over-hyped but you can say that about so many fighters at the top of the game. Boxing is an intrinsically corrupt sport where hype is everything so it shouldn't be surprising that an Olympic gold medallist who has accumulated loads of belts is massively hyped. He'll eventually get knocked out by someone because that's just how it goes but some of the stuff spouted will be amazing for its ridiculousness.

  38. Disagree. In my case I was cooking for a lot of people. Surely it's good etiquette to give them a choice of what veg to eat? I did peas, sprouts, brocolli, and mashed and roasted Potatoes/carrots/parsnip. Everyone went away happy after it.

  39. Hendo seems a good guy, maybe a little bit too aware of his flaws and avoids taking risk at all times. His professionalism and commitment to Liverpool has never been in doubt. However, it's not a charity and the captain should command respect at all times. Van Dijk is the most obvious choice imaginable.
