A club who have won 15 trophies in their entire existence of 145 years and haven't won anything for 28 years are an icon of world football?. Utterly fucking deluded.

It is truly unreal how they see themselves.

Post war their trophy haul is as follows:

4 League titles

3 FA Cups

1 ECWC

And that is it.

8 trophies in 78 years.

And they go on like they are giants

Their first league title was when they played the likes of Earlestown and Applesgate on muddy fields with no fans.

They always like to say they were the more successful and bigger club before Shankly arrived. Yet we were level on league titles when he became manager in 1959.

I have always been stunned when hear them accuse us of living in the past.

And the really funny thing is their own past isn't really all that anyway.

It's weird as their favourite subjects are

Being formed before Liverpool

Making up lies about buikding Anfield and how they left.

Dixie Dean

Two FA Cup wins in the 60s

The Holy Trinity/Golden Vision

Their 1985 team

Heysel

Collina

I've never heard any Evertonians talk about anything between Dixie Dean and the 1960s. The only time they ever talk about the 70s is when they whinge about Clive Thomas.

They've also got a cob on recently when people refer to them as perennial relegation strugglers and point out that their average position was 12th or slightly higher under Moyes.

They just go on about insignificant firsts which they have put on their stadium wall then look at you like some plastic glory hunter if you aren't impressed by any of it.

It is all a coping mechanism because they have to live in our shadow.

For some reason I thought that they had won the FA Cup twice in the 60s. If you listen to them.though you'd think their Holy Trinity won more than Man Utd in the 90s.

Sorry mate, I thought one of them had been going on about it.

Did they win the league twice in the 60's, or was it one in the 60's and one in the 70's?
