just for fun, was just wondering idly.

 

who do you all think out of the current managers,lets say worldwide,

who where the best in there playing days?

 

I know it doesnt necessarily mean if your the best player you become a great manager.

and I think you can easily see where this is going ;)

dont worry bout them being top managers, just top players

 

maybe try and not be biased, hard I know, Moyes for Preston was good

 

Ferguson, any footage survive? was TV even invented then, and do records exist ;)

Although no longer managing, Cruyff is way above anybody. The best European player ever, the best Barcelona manager ever. The architecht of total football and the philosophy behind the current Barcelona set up.

Rinus Michels was the architect of the dutch "total football" and no doubt was a huge influence on Cruyff.

 

If we're talking great players who were ex managers, Franz Beckenbauer was pretty special too.
