According to reports in the Danish media, Agger is being offered to clubs around Europe. Wolfsburg is among the clubs but are not interested - according to Hoeness they are not the only club who have been offered the player though.

Get rid.

Always injured and on a big contract apparently.

Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | N'Zogbia intrigued by France

Wigan may be keen to keep Charles N'Zogbia, but he continues to fuel transfer speculation.

Latics boss Roberto Martinezspacer.gif has announced that he expects the French winger to see out the January transfer window at the DW Stadium.

However, N'Zogbiaspacer.gif has hinted that he could yet be on his way out of the club in the New Year.

Numerous sides are reported to have expressed an interest in the 24-year-old playmaker, with reigning Ligue 1 champions Marseillespacer.gif among them.

Challenge

N'Zogbia admits he could be tempted to head back to his homeland, having spent his entire senior career to date in England.

"Coming back to France? I don't know, it could be an interesting challenge for me," he told RMC.

"On a professional level I have never experienced the football in France because I left (for Newcastlespacer.gif) when I was 18.

"Let's say the door is half open. But for now there has been no formal contact from any French club."

Manchester City are in talks with Wolfsburg over the transfer of Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko. Reports in Germany have suggested that the Premier League outfit are now on the verge of signing the 24-year-old forward for a record Bundesliga fee.

But such accounts are premature, with talks between City's chief negotiator Brian Marwood and Dzeko's agent still at an early stage.

Dzeko is under contract until 2013 and has a buy-out clause of around £30m.

He was linked with a number of clubs last summer but remained with Wolfsburg after clubs failed to meet the escape clause in his deal.

Edin Dzeko's a good player but I don't think he's strong enough for the Premier League

With the German club enduring a frustrating season under former England manager Steve McClaren, Dzeko could be on his way to Eastlands when the transfer window opens at the beginning of January.

Dzeko has established a reputation as one of Europe's leading marksmen during his time in Germany, scoring 10 times this season and taking his overall tally to 66 in 111 games for the club.

Dzeko, who was also top scorer in the Bundesliga last season, joined Wolfsburg from FK Teplice for 4m euros in 2007.

City manager Roberto Mancini has spoken of his admiration for Dzeko before, but the club have now stepped up their pursuit of a player they regard as an ideal replacement for Emmanuel Adebayor, who they will try to sell in January.

Wolfsburg general manager Dieter Hoeness has declined to comment, while club spokesman Gerd Voss told BBC Sport: "We will not speculate on this.

"The silly season has begun with the January window about to open. We had it in the summer with Dzeko and we have it now again but we will not comment."

Bayern Munich currently hold the Bundesliga transfer record with their 30m euros outlay on Mario Gomez from Stuttgart in 2009.

The 27m euros paid by Juventus for Werder Bremen's Diego in May 2009 is the highest fee received by a Bundesliga club from a team outside of Germany.

Diego lasted only a season in Serie A, returning to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, who paid 15.5m euros for the Brazilian international.

Anyone else hear the Ageuro rumours. Probably bollicks and most likely fuelled by him and his family spending Christmas with Maxi in Liverpool.

.Any more noise about Hazard? Last I heard was that we had matched Lille's valuation[/QUOTE]

Surely he'd be Liverpool negotiating a contract if that was the case.

Enlighten me on the Aguero rumours?

Aguero came over to Liverpool to spend Christmas with his mate Maxi. He writes on Twitter than he's sorry he's not spending Christmas with his family in Argentina, so the rumour machine goes into overdrive. However, there is a photo of Aguero sat around the table with Maxi's family and friends. His wife and son are also in the photo, suggesting it was just a family holiday, but the rumour machine neglects to mention that, thus implying he's in England on business.
