Harry Philp, managing director at sports financers and advisers Hermes Sports Partners has said that any investor would need to buy 25% from Hicks and 25% from Gillett in order to acquire half of the club, as opposed to 50% from either Hicks or Gillett.

BBC NEWS | Business | Saudis 'eye stake in Liverpool'

Harry Philp, who was keen to get some free publicity for his company offered comment without actually knowing anything about the situation

I'm amazed that we haven't seen Prof Tom Cannon yet

Although I bet both Hicks and Gillett are laughing thier asses off as some mug is publicly talking about buying the club for upto £700,000,000

I'm sure he is on the phone to Sky Sports News as we speak.

Gassim Hamidaddin, F6's deputy managing director, has told Reuters

that these figures (200 million and 350 million pounds) "were not 100 percent accurate", but he has said that there was a clause in the Academy agreement that opened the possibility of buying a stake in Liverpool.

Jordan is a flight risk because plastics could explode, which could also well be said of Katie Price

I'd like to offer an opinion without actually knowing anything. I find it odd that there's a connection with Saudi royal family through Gillett, not Hicks. If this was Hicks's doings, things would make more sense, as Hicks is good pals with W, and the Bush family tight with the Saudi royal family.

In the end, I am certain that Hicks would prefer the Saudis to Gillett. However, it seems unclear who exactly this dude with the ugly tie represents (as always in the ME business).

Until I see an Arab Prince on Al-Jazeera holding a scarf over his head, I won't believe it.

Until Tom Cannon says so, it's getting put down as a camera trick

The problem is that for any real emirate investment to come into the club, certain people on both sides would have to swallow their pride.
