Not a big snooker fan but always wondered does having the break give any advantage? obviously in Pool you can pot a ball but Snookers a lot more tactical/difficult.

Yeah, good safety play from the break can set up the frame. Some players like to dangle a carrot by leaving a long difficult pot, knowing if it is missed an opening for a sizeable break can happen.

I haven't watched snooker regularly for years now.  And I hadn't seen Mark King for years either, fucking amazed he's still playing.

I vaguely remember he was meant to be having a charity boxing match with some obnoxious Aussie cunt called Quinton Hann.

I thought they must have battered each other into oblivion and disappeared afterwards.

I expect Murphy to put an end to King's resurgence though, King's a talented enough player but always suffered with composure issues in the bigger games.

That boxing match did happen - Hann won. He ended up getting banned for match fixing

Yep, he's hammering him 5-1 atm in first to 6.

Thought Murphy would win this evening ,  How wrong was that, Ronnie came out and played brilliantly and blew him away,

That's the thing with O'Sullivan.  When he gets into "the zone" he's nigh on unstoppable.  Going back 10 years or so ago, John Higgins was about the only guy who could step up his game and knock O'Sullivan out of his stride.  These days it would be Mark Selby.

His opponents know they don't even need to make a major mistake, just one slightly loose safety shot and 5 or 6 minutes later they're down another frame.  A lot of the game is played in the head, and O'Sullivan knows it deflates players when he just rolls them up quick frame after quick frame.

The most talented player to ever pick a cue up, and a mental cunt with it !

I hate Selby and his ridiculous fucking nickname. The jester from Leicester. It implies a carefree entertainer. He's a boring cunt. Extremely talented yes, but a boring cunt.

He got that from joking about with the crowd in the first while after he came on the scene - he still does that occasionally to be fair but it does seem like he's outgrown that nickname and that it doesn't really suit him now
