We are competing. Of course its tough, but they can't buy everybody (not that its stopping them from trying) and there are more than enough good players to go around.

 

Besides, its not always the best 11 players who win games, its the best team and for me Rafa is better than Shitcoat.

 

The board have a big responsibility to get Rafa the players he wants though. If they can do that, I'm sure Rafa can overhaul them.

 

 

I agree with this too, the transfer system is almost impossable to maneuver in now, no matter how much money you throw at it. Would Shevchenko go to Chelsea? No matter the cost? I doubt it....

 

The way forward is having the best (international) youth system and the best coach to use them when they're ready, we've got the latter and are working on the former...

Same here. I have a cousin but he's twenty years older than me, so he's more like my uncle. He's a life long Chelsea supporter, at least he was. I spoke to him recently and I asked him about the footy and how he felt, and he said that he didn't care for football anymore and that he thinks Chelsea have ruined the game. So, you're uncle is far from alone in his sentiments.
