Hoddle loves Lallana.  He has always praised him whenever he commentates on him.

I think he might be his favourite player.

You saying Hoddle is Stringy?

I think it'll be hilarious although, admittedly, I'm not a fan.

At least the fans won't get to see the debacle, they'll be lying bloodied in a Russian gutter.

Christ it can't bode any worse than having Hodgson leading them out to a twatting for the third time.

I think it would be pretty much the same outcome mate.

Germany winning 8-0. Utterly pointless.

Most of European qualification is. England will win this group comfortably without having ever played even a half decent team, then they will be bummed at a major tournament when they finally meet a team that can string five passes together.

What price Lallana this season, he's been absolutely superb the lad.

We have the most inform forward minded players in the league, Klopp has them playing to their potential and it is great to see.

Henderson was also solid tonight and Sturridge wasn't bad either.

A comfortable win for England.

But has the time not come for minnows like Scotland to play in a pre-qualifying group with the likes of Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, San Marino and the Faroe islands, before playing the bigger teams in proper competition?

Xerxes has the ladle out...
