Gnash, the lovely Marina has a question for you.

Isn't she that the Labour grifter who got caught dressing as a Nazi or is that her mate?

The Tories have failed with Brexit so theirs nothing to miss. They could've slashed VAT, renationalisation of assets, invested in the NHS and worked out a coherent immigration policy but they've failed and will be shown the door because of it.

A more relevant question for Tanski and Co would be where our relationship with the EU is heading in the near future. As none of the major parties look likely to push for going back in I'd have thought a closer more grown up relationship with the EU would be a must. Looks like Reeves Tufton Street stroke on bankers bonuses yesterday will kill that dead.

Er... No.

I don't know anyone who got caught dressing up as a Nazi.

I don't know why you associate her with that Tanski one.  Or Rachel Reeves.

Tories.

Tories - the actual government in real life at the time of the Referendum.

Tories - the people who were pushing hardest for the Leave campaign.

Tories - the party who were always going to benefit most from Brexit.

Tories could have suddenly decided to do all those things that any Member State of the EU is free to do?

So, not her then.

No but part of that mob of grifters. What is it with the these EU lovers and Nazis? Do they all play at follow their leader?

On the 50 billion given to Ukraine I imagine Gaza will be given at least the same from Ursula and Co. Won't they?

Haha, so now you've proven you don't know what you're talking about you've decided to double down on it?

Well done.

They'd have found it harder to slash VAT or renationalise assets.

As for Ukraine. Maybe this fella holds the key to the answer of my question on why Gaza has been treated so differently by Biden/Ursula(Israel has literally made the desert bloom) and Co when compared to the Ukraine the EU has just given 50 billion.

Has Gnash actually given a response to the questions posed by Purkiss in that tweet or is all whataboutery, deflection and failure to address the question posed?

You've misread it. It was a comment on Ursula and her attitude.

I have.flicked through it. Although I don't know why I bothered it's a load of bullshit by an attention seeking grifter.

If she's serious about worries over the EU she'd be asking questions of Reeves going against EU policy on Bankers bonuses. Which could cause unneeded friction a little down the line.

Purkiss is absolutely wonderful and I won't hear a word said to the contrary.

No she is OK. I can see the attraction. She is OK actually although the EU seems to be her hobbyhorse.

Double down? No idea what you mean.

He means you've done a Katie Hopkins: you said that Person A did something that Person B did and instead of simply admitting you got it wrong you're coming out with "so what? They're all the same".

Tanskii is a self-obsessed witless social media irritant and best ignored.

Purkiss is an intelligent and articulate political commentator in mainstream media, who speaks up for the type of low-paid workers you pretend that nobody here cares about.

Chalk and cheese.  The only thing they have in common is that they haven't drunk the Brexit Kool-Aid.

VAT rates are within the gift of Member States.  If the Government of a Member State wants to raise or lower rates, that's not the EU's business.

https://www.eurofiscalis.com/en/vat-rates-in-ue/

Nationalisation is more difficult, but not impossible, for an EU Member State.  That would be a relevant point for a country with a Socialist government.  But (in case you've forgotten) the Referendum took place in the real world, and in the real world the UK was - and still is - governed by a bunch of Tory bastards more implacably opposed to to nationalisation than anyone in Brussels.
