What Rodgers did with well over 100m in the summer was make mistakes that have cost him his job and set our club back yet again. Failed to address problem areas and bought square pegs for round holes, there is no hiding from that and the results prove it.

He genuinely doesn't seem to know what he's doing. It's all a bit of a mess. But he isn't the only one it's failure after failure from whoever identifies the players and whoever negotiates for them. If fsg do not do something about some of these areas soon they are shooting themselves in the foot and only costing themselves more money in the long run. Huge levels of ineptitude.

Last season, the team picked itself: Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling, Henderson, Gerrard, Coutinho/Allen, Flannagan, Skrtel, Agger/Sakho, Johnson, Mignolet. And it all rested on those first two and a clear strategy of counter attack at pace. Now that Rodgers actually has decisions to make......
