Ireland. A few cards short of a full deck, but he's a cracking player and I'd love to have him back however unlikely it seems at the moment.

 

Andy Reid being given the boot is a strange one, but Trapattoni must have his reasons. I'd like to see Keith Fahey at Birmingham get a call-up sooner rather than later too.

We've been linked with him a few times over the past couple of seasons, so I've tried to look out for him whenever he has been on to see what he's like. Watched him last week when Palermo played Juventus and he was brilliant. He was up against Iaquinta and Amauri, so it was a stern test as they're both big lads, aswell as being top strikers, but he kept them both quiet, and he looks dominant in the air. Read during the week that he's apparently a Liverpool fan, and he has a release clause of around €12m. Not seen anywhere near enough of him to recommend him like, but he looked very very good, and when you consider his age aswell, he looks a promising player.
