Yeah, that's all we need Wallace to be at this point.

To be fair, not been in the most compatible of offenses in Miami - where his numbers were still solid - and especially Minnesota. Think he'll have himself a nice year, all being well he's fighting with Aiken to be WR3 but should certainly be behind Smith and Perriman on the depth chart.

Wallace is shit, a busted flush.

Rats should have gone for Bowe.

Martellus Bennet and a sixth round pick to the Pats for a fourth round pick.

I'd have liked the packers to have traded for him. He's caused us problems for the last few years and we desperately need an upgrade at TE.

Saints James Laurinaitis. Not a bad move.Think he's lost a step but gives a good vets presence at LB. Looks like the Saints are moving back to a 4-3 base so could see Anthony moving to WOLB at times. Wouldn't be shocked if Kikaha is traded as he's small for a DE and needs work in coverage.

Be happy if we get Hatcher in and place him back as a 3 technique DT like at the Cowboys. That and a OLB and DT in R1-2 of the draft and the team should take a big step back towards the playoffs

Without sounding too critical here Lee, I wouldn't expect too much from Laurinaitis as his play really has deteriorated over the past few years although he still offers decent work against the run. If I was the Saints, I'd look to take someone like that injured kid from Notre Dame if he's available in the second as an eventual replacement for Laurinaitis.

In other news, Rams are involved in Hard Knocks and look to be playing in China next year. Feel sorry for the Chinese, their introductions to football is going to be led by Jeff Fisher.

Yeah read of reports about that. Having a dominant Defensive line helped him too. On the other hand he's better than Lofton and Humber. Its the front 4 im worried about.

Patton signs new 5 year deal and Brees expected to follow

Saints have just signed Nick Fairly

Nice add, doesnt always play uo to his abilty by is far better than ant DT the Saints have.

The Saints D took some big steps once Allen took over as DC last year snd it a very young core too.

Laurinaitis and Fairly should add a good presence even if they habe lost a step. Kikaha will move to a pure pass rusher now,Anthony will go to SOLB in tge change to 4-3.

A good athletic WOLB in the draft another DT (deep this year) and if Keenan Lewis stays fit snd Delvin Breaux opposite they could be a good unit. Not talking top 5 but anywhere from top 8-20 gives the Saints a great chance of getting back to the playoffs. The offense always moves the ball.

  • 2 weeks later...

Shit news over the weekend.

Former Saints DE Will Smith shot dead in New Orleans. Somebody reaeended his car and caused a lile up they had words and the other bloke pulled out a gun shot him multiple times in the chest and then shot his wife twice in the leg. Arrests have been made. Only 34 aswell, leaves behind 3 kids.

Was just told he'd been elected to the Saints hall of fame too

On a lighter note who are the Browns going to blow their first rounder on this year.

2011 Phil Taylor

2012 Weedon,Richardson

2013 Mingo

2014 Gilbert, Manziel

Last years should be good picks though.

Im hoping to get a couple of big nasty DTs and a pass rushing DE

Quite optimistic about the Saints defense if Keenan Lewis stays healthy. Delvin Breaux just got better and better as the season went on last year and Lewis is a great CB so they would be a great 1-2. Williams got redshirted so should come in to play as the 3rd CB. Theres talk the Saints want to draft a FS to replace Byrd who has been a disaster for the price,in his defence the lack of a pass rush has killed the secondary.

Kikaha should be getting used as a undersized pure pass rushing DE this year,Anthony will probably split time at MLB and OLB. Should be far better than last year at least

After paying no attention last year I've forgotten to be honest

Bjornebye sticks his head in noe and again and claims to be a Raiders fan so there is another one who doesn't like winning. Though they are getting better
